The Beginning

​For the year 2022 I wanted to start creating this blog as a bit of a journaling exercise. I will be updating posts based on all the trials and tribulations that come my way and how I deal with them over the course of this next year. This will be where I come to discuss issues faced among family, work, health, finances, relationships and anything else that comes my way. As well as it will be the place where I sit and monitor the progress of my own goals that I’ve set out for the year allowing my readers to hold me accountable. 

A little backstory about me as I am currently 35 years old I have been married for seven years and with my husband for 16. We share three children two older daughters that are now teenagers (15 & 13) and we have an autistic son who is 4. We primarily lived in Florida for many years and recently within the past six years moved to North Carolina. My husband is a mechanic and I am a medical office consultant. My children and I are all creators and therefore we share several passions along creative arts and crafting. 

Some of my 2022 goals include, buying a house, quitting smoking cigarettes, getting all my paperwork around the house in order, organizing, setting up our future for financial freedom, getting everyone's health in check, increasing our spirituality, and investing quality time in our family. 

Today I created myself a vision (jam) board to lay out all of my goals and some of the steps I believe will be needed to succeed. These are not "S.M.A.R.T" goals necessarily, but still significant, measurable (some), attainable, realistic and some will have time lines. Please feel free to check out my draft below as it is always a work in progress. 

One thing you will learn about me as I go is, I am me! I do not sugarcoat, I cuss like a sailor, I have very little shame and I am open and upfront about most of my issues. I will not pretend to be someone else and act as though my life is perfect, my house is clean, my children are angels, my relationship is perfect or that my finances are together. It is NOT all sunshine and rainbows in the Dunn household. If that were the case, then there would be no reason for this blog. My shit is NOT together! However, it is a constant work in progress. I am learning as a go, grow, and level up in life.
